Welcome to META{ ! }THINK. This blog is devoted to developing the skill of meta thinking in the discipline of software engineering. If you are a software thought leader, such as a Software Architect, Technical Lead, or Technical Manager, welcome!

Yes, all of the usual goodies, such as patterns and practices in software construction, can be found here too - we're still hardcore geeks at heart. However, we are intrigued by the meta aspects of how and why we built the software in the first place. This introspection will help us to do things better next time.

By challenging the boundaries and constraints of software engineering with unconventional perspectives, we expect to improve our understanding of what a software system really is. After all, it does fit into the larger problem space of the world we live in.

So, in many of the articles, you will find considerations of software patterns and practices, man-machine paradigms, economics, industry trends, psychology, comedy, wisdom, and faith. Yes, that's quite a mix. Kinda like barbeque and coleslaw with your favorite beverage. Try it, you might like it! Wink

Feel free to browse, discuss, and discover unconventional ways of doing software better. You are free to move about the cabin.

Happy Thinking!
